Speech title:
Photonic CNN Accelerator

Abstract:
Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) gain significant success in a wide variety of applications. However, large scale data movement and complex computing pose representative challenges to existing accelerators. Electrical-based accelerators are energy-consuming and inefficient, while current nanophotonic accelerators can offer the promise of energy efficiency and speed improvement.
